  Our Maple Live Edge Dining Tables have the character and figure perfect for any dining room setting. Every table is custom made according to your dimensions and requirements.
  
  The grain, figure and overall aesthetic of a single slab live edge dining table makes for a conversation piece in any space. The rich tones of our single slabs provide the perfect backdrop to amazing family dinners and time spent together. Our Spalted Maple Live Edge Dining Tables will provide a timeless piece of furniture in your home that can be used for generations to come.
  
  We believe every slab is a natural work of art and should be preserved in the most delicate way possible. A live edge is the unhindered natural edge/shape of a horizontal slab cut from a tree trunk and it is in this raw shape where we find the true beauty of nature. When working with raw slabs we give careful attention to the live edge portion of the slab in order to preserve its natural curvature and aesthetic.
  
  With solid hardwoods like Maple, a good drying technique is required and this is why we allow our slabs to air dry for at least 2.5 years (30 months). After this they are put into a kiln for an additional year before they are ready to be used. If the slabs are taken out before they are completely dried then movement of the wood will occur. We adhere to these strict standards in order to ensure the quality of our craftsmanship is maintained.
  
  The pictures of slabs will be sent to you according to the dimensions required so that you may choose the aesthetic you feel would look best in the space. Keep in mind due to the live edge there will always be some variation in the overall width.
  
  We only use trusted and food grade finishes that ensure the surface will remain safe and protected for years to come. We apply 5-7 coats on every piece we build to ensure the longevity of the finish. Our finishes are primarily matte, but we also offer semi gloss and gloss.
  
  All of our bases are fabricated in house and we offer a variety of table legs to choose from. We offer powder coated finishes in a variety of colors for a small fee. Power coated bases ensure the finish and color of the metal legs stay strong for years to come. We also offer chrome finish, stainless steel and lucite (transparent) table legs.
  
  Each table comes standard with U shaped table legs in a raw steel or flat black finish. The custom legs pictured in the listing is an added option that is available.
