- Single slab floating shelf construction for continuous grain (multiple pieces are NOT glued together)
- Each floating shelf is carefully finished with food grade oil to bring out the natural wood grain, ensures durability and is easy to clean

PRODUCTION PROCESS AND SUSTAINABILITY
- Each piece of solid maple wood is milled in a sustainable way using salvaged or reclaimed wood
- All of our wood products are properly kiln dried to prevent future cracking or warpage.
- Any holes or voids in the wood will be filled with black epoxy/resin.
- All pieces are finished in a standard matte finish without any stain. We like to enhance the inherent nature of the wood itself which stain diminishes and masks.
OTHER WOOD SPECIES
- Not only do we offer Maple but we also have Walnut, Ash, Oak, Sycamore, Parota, Guanacaste, Rosewood, Cherry, Catalpa, Cottonwood and many more domestic as well as exotic species.

NOTE
LIVE EDGE means that the natural edge of the wood slab is left intact. LIVE EDGE does not necessarily mean that it will have a curvy edge. Since every tree is different that means every slab of wood will have its own unique edge (live edge). The pictures in the listing are only some of the examples of what you may receive while the natural curvature i.e live edge will vary from shelf to shelf. If you like a particular live edge aesthetic let us know. We go to extra lengths in order to provide our clients with a product that is easy to install and yet made from premium wood that will last a lifetime. Live edge aesthetics is dependent on the available stock.

I am impressed with everything about ChicagoMakersStudio, from the beautiful shelves I purchased to the exceptional customer service. The shelves are gorgeous. Exactly as shown in the pictures, but even more beautiful in person. I am very picky and these exceeded my expectations. As for customer service, that also exceeded my expectations. Someone from the team, usually the owner, responds to my emails promptly, often within hours. I ran into a difficult situation, particular to my renovation (our wall had some structural problems), that meant I couldn't use the beautiful hanging system that the shop provides for floating shelves. They helped me troubleshoot and when I couldn't figure it out, they offered to speak to my contractor directly. Evidence of a shop willing to go above and beyond. Very pleased! Highly recommend!

The thick and durable shelves radiate the natural beauty of maple. The smoothed out edges maintain just the right mix of slopes and curves, living proof that the shelves are from nature, not from factory floor. They easily become the center piece of my garage. Bravo!

Fantastic quality live edge shelves! Adam was great to work with, and shipping plus pack again was top notch. In addition, after purchase support has been great. The mounting system is easy to use and install - be careful not to bend the mounting bracket if your wall isn’t completely flat! Great experience - would return down the road to purchase a live edge table!
