  At Chicago Makers Studio we are always pushing the boundary of creativity. With the introduction of our Live Edge Sliding Doors we are able to create a raw yet modern aesthetic. The natural curvature of a live edge provides the perfect backdrop for a stunning sliding door. Our Live Edge Sliding Doors can be used in various applications and spaces. Every project is custom made according to the projects specifications.
  
  The wood type pictured is our Live Edge Maple Single Slab Sliding Door. For most standard applications we can source Single Slabs however for wider openings we suggest going with book matched pair of slabs.
  
  This particular Live Edge Maple Sliding Door was installed for a local Chicago resident to separate his master bedroom from the bath area. The lighter tone of the Maple species allows it to compliment modern and darker toned spaces. Every morning not only will you be able to experience a piece of nature but also be able to use it as functional art in your home. Every slab has a different story. Every slab is unique with different grain and character.
  
  Some slabs have voids in them and we use epoxy and resin to fill these voids. We fabricate our sliding door hardware in house in Chicago. We can also create unique one of a kind sliding door hardware setups where applicable. Sliding Hardware is included with every Sliding Live Edge Door*.
  
  We offer our Sliding Live Edge Doors in various species. Our Live Edge Sliding Doors can be custom made to fit almost any opening. We offer matte/satin as a standard finish, but other finishes such as gloss and semi gloss are also available.
  
  We like to make the process of ordering and installing a Live Edge Sliding Door as simple as possible. Before placing an order we provide pictures of various slabs (Maple is pictured here) for you to choose from. Every slab is unique so every live edge door is one of a kind!
